Lincoln Man Wins $82,000 Playing Nebraska Pick 5

May 30, 2014 – Frank Guzinski of Lincoln recently won $82,000 playing Nebraska Pick 5 from the Nebraska Lottery.

There were more than 12,500 Nebraska Lottery winners in the Wednesday, May 14, drawings. Among these winners was Guzinski, who purchased his winning Nebraska Pick 5 ticket at Kwik Shop #650, 5600 Holdrege Street in Lincoln. The ticket contained one play with all five of the winning numbers (11, 13, 21, 28, 30) from the May 14 drawing for the $82,000 jackpot.

Three hundred and seven Nebraska Lottery players have won the Nebraska Pick 5 jackpot to date.

While claiming his prize on May 15, Guzinski told Nebraska Lottery officials that he learned he had won after returning to Kwik Shop to check his tickets. “I thought I’d only won a few bucks,” said Guzinski. “When the clerk said I’d hit the jackpot, I couldn’t believe it.” He plans to pay bills and purchase a new boat with his winnings.
