Lexington Man Wins $35,000 Playing Crazy 8’s

October 10, 2013 – Steven Thornburg of Lexington won $35,000 playing the $3 Scratch game Crazy 8s from the Nebraska Lottery.

Thornburg purchased his winning Crazy 8s ticket at Uncle Neal’s, 123 Pacific Street in Lexington. Scratching the ticket, he revealed three matching symbols with a corresponding prize of $35,000.

There were three $35,000 top prizes available in Crazy 8s. Thornburg was the third person to claim a top prize in the game. He plans to pay bills using his winnings.

Crazy 8s was a $3 Scratch game from the Nebraska Lottery that offered players the chance to win $937,000 in cash prizes from $3 to $35,000. The odds of winning the top prize in Crazy 8s were 1 in 160,000, while the overall odds of winning any prize were 1 in 3.51.
