$2,500 Play Nebraska Prize for York Man

100_0941 copyJuly 16, 2010 – Nicholas Batterton of York won $2,500 playing the $1 Scratch game Play Nebraska from the Nebraska Lottery.

Batterton purchased his winning Play Nebraska ticket at Pump & Pantry, 109 Lincoln Avenue in York. Scratching the ticket, he revealed three matching dollar amounts for a corresponding prize of $2,500.

There are four $2,500 top prizes available in Play Nebraska. Batterton is the second person to claim a top prize to date.

While claiming his prize on July 6, Batterton told Nebraska Lottery officials he didn’t believe he had won the top prize at first. “I had to ask two other people to double-check it,” he said. Batterton plans to take a trip using his winnings.

Play Nebraska is a $1 Scratch game from the Nebraska Lottery that offers players the chance to win $432,000 in cash prizes from $1 to $2,500. The odds of winning the $2,500 top prize in Play Nebraska are 1 in 180,000, while the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.97.
