$5,004 MyDaY Prize for Burchard Man

March 5, 2010 – George Lambert of Burchard recently won a total of $5,004 playing MyDaY from the Nebraska Lottery.

There were more than 20,000 Nebraska Lottery winners in the Wednesday, February 24, drawings. Among these winners was Lambert, who purchased his winning MyDaY ticket at Nider's Thriftway, 535 F Street in Pawnee City. The five-play ticket contained one play with the winning Month (7), winning Day (25) and winning Year (23) from the February 24 drawing for the $5,000 top prize.

A second play on the ticket matched the winning Day for $4, making Lambert’s total win $5,004.

While claiming his prize on March 1, Lambert told Nebraska Lottery officials that he learned he had won after checking the winning numbers in the Lincoln Journal Star newspaper. “It took awhile for it to hit me,” he said. Lambert plans to pay bills using his winnings.

One hundred and ten Nebraska Lottery players have won the MyDaY top prize since the game launched on October 1, 2008.

MyDaY is a new Nebraska Lottery Lotto game with a calendar theme. Players can win up to $5,000 by choosing a six-digit date for each $1 MyDaY play. The odds of winning the $5,000 top prize in MyDaY are 1 in 36,525, and the odds of winning $4 are 1 in 34. The overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 8.17.
