Fairbury Woman Wins $7,000 Quick 7’s Prize

August 7, 2008 – Savannah Talkington of Fairbury won $7,000 playing the $1 Scratch game Quick 7’s from the Nebraska Lottery.

Talkington purchased her winning Quick 7’s ticket at Shell Food Mart, 1107 Belmont Street in Lincoln on Saturday, August 2. Scratching the ticket, she revealed a “7” symbol with a corresponding prize amount of $7,000.

There are four $7,000 top prizes available in Quick 7’s. Talkington is the fourth person to claim a top prize in this edition of the game.

Talkington wasted no time in claiming her prize, arriving at Nebraska Lottery headquarters on Monday, August 4. She told Nebraska Lottery officials that she was “stunned” and “couldn’t believe” that she had won the $7,000 top prize. Talkington plans to pay for school expenses and a vacation using her winnings.

Quick 7’s is a $1 Scratch game from the Nebraska Lottery that offers players the chance to win $1,476,250 in cash prizes from $2 to $7,000. The odds of winning $7,000 in Quick 7’s are 1 in 440,000 while the overall odds are 1 in 3.60.
