15 YEARS OF FUN PHOTO CONTEST
PROMOTION RULES
Overview
1. This promotion will run from 12:00 a.m. (C.T.) on Monday, May 26, 2008 until 11:59:59 p.m. (C.T.) on Sunday, September 7, 2008.
2. Only photographs incorporating the following theme will be considered: “Showcase Nebraska & Me! Photo Contest”. The photos which best capture this theme will be entered for a chance to win weekly prizes of Lottery packs valued at approximately $30 each.
3. Photos submitted must be original by the submitting photographer. Photos may be digitally enhanced, but cannot utilize copyrighted material created or owned by any individual other than the entrant. All entrants agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Nebraska Lottery for any costs or damages resulting from any adverse claim of infringement.
How to Enter
4. Each photographic entry must be submitted electronically through www.nelottery.com/photos. Photos may not exceed one megabyte (1MB) in size. Each entry must contain the photographer's name, address and daytime phone number, email address, the date and the location in which the photo was taken.
5. Each photographic entry must identify each of the primary subjects (individuals) in the photo, and confirmation that all primary subjects have consented to have their picture displayed on the nelottery.com website and published in any Nebraska Lottery publication or other medium. Background subjects do not need to be verified, so long as they are not readily identifiable. All entrants agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Nebraska Lottery for any costs or damages resulting from any adverse claim of invasion of privacy or any other related claim.
6. The photographer’s name will be listed with all photo displays, but other names will not be included in the caption. Photos which include Nebraska Lottery tickets, billboards, signs, logos, promotional items and/or events will receive special consideration. Incomplete or illegible entries may result in disqualification.
7. Weekly drawings will include photos submitted from 12:00 a.m. on Monday through 11:59:59 p.m. on Sunday of that week. Winning photos will be announced the following Tuesday, and will be posted at www.nelottery.com/photos. Any photos entered after 11:59:59 p.m. on Sundays will be considered in the following week’s photo pool. The final weekly winners will be announced on Tuesday, September 9, 2008.
8. Photographs and contest entries may only be submitted via email to photos@nelottery.com. Hand delivered, mailed and hard copy photos will not be accepted. Photos entered in any manner other than via email will be disqualified.
Contest Terms
9. Only digital photos or photo illustrations will be eligible. The Nebraska Lottery, in its sole discretion, will determine if photos contain indecent, offensive, or otherwise unacceptable content. Photos depicting nudity or obscenity; use of alcohol, tobacco or drugs; campaign or political activity; minors (persons under the age of 19); or any inappropriate, illegal or controversial subject matter will be disqualified from the competition. Submission of a photo does not guarantee qualification, award or publication.
10. Entries must be submitted individually, but entrants may enter multiple photos throughout the contest. A photo entry may be submitted only once.
11. Each Tuesday during the contest period, the Nebraska Lottery will select up to five (5) winning photos that best reflect the theme. Winners will be contacted by phone or email on or after each Tuesday announcement. Winning photos will be posted online at www.nelottery.com/photos. Each weekly winner will receive a Nebraska Lottery prize pack.
12. Prizes will be mailed to the winners at the address provided on the completed contest entry forms.
13. An entrant may win more than one prize in this contest; however, entrants cannot win more than once per week, as up to five (5) different entrant photo submissions will be selected each week.
14. No Nebraska Lottery purchase is necessary to enter. Any taxes or expenses associated with the awarded prizes are the responsibility of the winner. Prizes won in this contest are not transferable and may not be assigned except by judicial order. Merchandise prizes are not redeemable for cash value.
15. Only digital photos will be accepted. Photos may not exceed one megabyte (1MB). Photos must be uploaded at www.nelottery.com/photos and include the proper entry information to be eligible.
16. The Nebraska Lottery reserves the right to publish or to not publish all or any portion of the photographs on the nelottery.com website or in any publication or other medium without further remuneration other than the prize awarded. Contest photos submitted become the absolute and exclusive property of the Nebraska Lottery and will not be returned to the entrant in any form.
17. The Nebraska Lottery is not responsible for late, lost, damaged, destroyed or misdirected contest entries.
18. The Nebraska Lottery is not responsible for any injury or liable for any costs or damages associated with submitted photo entries.
19. Eligible entrants include anyone age 19 or older except for Nebraska Lottery employees, employees of Nebraska Lottery contractors and subcontractors, and their immediate family members residing in the same household. All winners may be required to submit proof of age (e.g., a driver’s license).
20. The Nebraska Lottery reserves the right to publish winners' names, hometowns, and photographs for publicity purposes.
21. The Nebraska Lottery is not responsible for third-party use of posted photos on other sites outside www.nelottery.com, including, but not limited to, Facebook, MySpace, MSN and AOL.
22. By entering this contest promotion each entrant agrees by his or her act of participation to be bound by these contest rules and procedures, Nebraska state law, and the administrative rules, regulations and procedures of the Nebraska Lottery. Any decisions by the Nebraska Lottery relative to resolving any dispute in this contest and under these rules is final and binding on all participants.
23. Contest rules, dates, deadlines and procedures are subject to change and may be modified at any time without further notice as deemed necessary or appropriate at the sole discretion of the Nebraska Lottery.
