Columbus Woman Wins $22,000 Playing 2by2

April 2, 2008 – Mary Koch of Columbus recently won $22,000 playing 2by2 from the Nebraska Lottery.

There were more than 1,500 Nebraska 2by2 winners in the March 30 drawing. Among these winners was Koch, who purchased her winning 2by2 ticket at Joe & Al's Grocery, 2304 Tenth Street in Columbus. The ticket contained one play with the winning red ball numbers (6, 24) and white ball numbers (18, 24) from the March 30 drawing for the $22,000 top prize.

Koch is a regular Nebraska Lottery player who previously won $30,000 playing Nebraska Pick 5 in October 1998. While claiming her latest prize, Koch told Nebraska Lottery officials that she learned of her win after checking the winning numbers on the Nebraska Lottery web site, nelottery.com. She plans to pay bills using her winnings.

One hundred and forty-four Nebraska Lottery players have won the 2by2 top prize to date.

2by2 is run by the Multi-State Lottery Association and was introduced in June 2002. Players in Kansas, Nebraska and North Dakota have the opportunity to win up to $22,000 Monday through Sunday by playing 2by2. The odds of winning the $22,000 2by2 top prize are 1 in 105,625, while the overall odds are 1 in 3.59.
