Two Nebraska Lottery players live it up in Nashville
When it comes to living lucky, there’s not much luckier than the two Nebraska Lottery players who won the Living Lucky with Luke Combs second chance promotion.
Robert Johnson of Hastings and Teah Betz of Hiawatha, Kansas, both won the Living Lucky with Luke Combs Second Chance Promotion, which included a trip to Nashville to see Luke Combs live in a private concert and a chance at a massive payday.
Non-winning Living Lucky with Luke Combs Nebraska Lottery Scratch tickets could be entered through the MVP Club on the Nebraska Lottery’s website.
Winners received round trip airfare for two from Lincoln to Nashville, three nights at the Sheraton Grand Nashville Downtown hotel, round trip ground transportation, exclusive Living Lucky with Luke Combs merchandise, $500 in cash and an intimate concert by Luke Combs at the Ryman Auditorium, former home of the Grand Ole Opry.
One Nebraska winner was selected for a $10,000 cash prize and a chance to compete with contest winners from different states for the $500,000 top prize.
Teah Betz won the $10,000 prize and she also was the lucky winner of a meet and greet with Luke Combs after the show where she got to meet the country star in person.
Even though he didn’t win the $10,000, Robert Johnson said he couldn’t complain, it was a free vacation and he and his wife Kelly had a fantastic time.
“My wife loved the dinner at the Country Music Hall of Fame,” he said. “They fed us so much food! I think we gained about 10 pounds on the trip.”
Teah and Robert became quick friends on the trip and have even kept in touch since returning.
Robert said he was stunned when he found out he’d won the trip. When he entered his non-winning tickets through the MVP Club, he wasn’t entirely sure what the top prize was.
They received a couple of free Living Lucky with Luke Combs $5 Scratch tickets at a Nebraska Lottery event at the grand opening of Coach’s Corner in Hastings. They didn’t win, but, at their niece’s suggestion, they decided to buy a couple more tickets to enter online.
“We only entered four tickets,” Robert said. “And two of them were free!”
