Omaha Woman Wins $35,000 Playing Bonus Crossword

Diane Meyer May 3, 2013 – Diane Meyer of Omaha won $35,000 playing the $3 Scratch game Anniversary Bonus Crossword from the Nebraska Lottery.

Meyer purchased her winning Anniversary Bonus Crossword ticket at Mega Saver, 7205 Lawndale Drive in Omaha. Scratching the ticket, she revealed 10 complete words for the $35,000 top prize.

There are three $35,000 top prizes available in Anniversary Bonus Crossword. Meyer is the first person to claim a top prize in the game. She plans to pay bills using her winnings.

Anniversary Bonus Crossword is a $3 Scratch game that offers players the chance to win $2.7 million in cash prizes from $3 to $35,000. The odds of winning the $35,000 top prize in Anniversary Bonus Crossword are 1 in 480,000, while the overall odds are 1 in 3.41.

 

Omaha Man Wins $22,000 Playing 2by2

2by2May 1, 2013 – John Daly of Omaha recently won $22,000 playing 2by2 from the Nebraska Lottery.

There were more than 10,000 Nebraska Lottery winners in the April 8 drawings. Among these winners was Daly, who purchased his winning 2by2 ticket at Baker’s Supermarket, 888 South Saddlecreek Road in Omaha. The two-play ticket contained one quick pick play with the winning red ball numbers (2, 11) and winning white ball numbers (5, 7) from the April 8 drawing for a corresponding prize of $22,000.

Two hundred and ninety-six Nebraska Lottery players have won the 2by2 top prize to date.

While claiming his prize on April 10, Daly told Nebraska Lottery officials that he was “surprised” to realize that he had won the 2by2 top prize. He learned he had won after seeing the winning numbers at the Nebraska Lottery website, nelottery.com. “I triple-checked everything just to make sure,” said Daly. He plans to save his winnings for the future.

2by2 is run by the Multi-State Lottery Association and was introduced in June 2002. Players in Kansas, Nebraska and North Dakota have the opportunity to win up to $22,000 Monday through Sunday by playing 2by2. The odds of winning the $22,000 2by2 top prize are 1 in 105,625. The overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.59.

Osmond Woman Wins $1,000 Playing The Color of Money 9x

Rachel Gutz May 1, 2013 – Rachel Gutz of Osmond won $1,000 playing the $15 Scratch ticket The Color of Money 9x from the Nebraska Lottery.

Gutz purchased her winning Color of Money ticket at Jackson Express, 400 West Elk Street in Jackson. Scratching the ticket, she revealed matching symbols with a corresponding prize of $1,000.

The Color of Money 9x is a $15 Scratch game from the Nebraska Lottery that offers player the chance to win $3.3 million in cash prizes from $15 to $150,000. The odds of winning $1,000 playing The Color of Money 9x are 1 in 6,933, while the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 2.72.

 

Lincoln Man Wins $10,000 Playing Powerball

Nebraska PowerballMay 1, 2013 – Charles Clarke of Lincoln recently won $10,000 playing Powerball from the Nebraska Lottery.

There were more than 16,000 Nebraska Lottery winners in the Saturday, April 6 drawings. Among these winners was Clarke, who purchased his winning ticket at U-Stop, 110 West O Street in Lincoln. The three-play quick pick ticket contained one play with four of the five winning white ball numbers (4, 7, 8, 29, 39) and the Powerball number (24) from the April 6 drawing for $10,000.

While claiming his prize on April 8, Clarke told Nebraska Lottery officials that he hadn’t planned on buying a Powerball ticket for the drawing. “I was on the way to work, and on a whim I decided to buy a ticket,” said Clarke. “I couldn’t believe it when I had the ticket checked later and the clerk said it was the winner.” He plans to buy a new truck using his prize money.

Springfield Man Wins $10,007 Playing Powerball Prize

Nebraska PowerballApril 30, 2013 – Thomas Hayes of Springfield recently won a total of $10,007 playing Powerball from the Nebraska Lottery.

There were more than 14,000 Nebraska Lottery winners in the Wednesday, April 3 drawings. Among these winners was Hayes, who purchased his winning ticket at Neitzel’s Corner, 15780 Highway 50 in Springfield. The two-play ticket contained one play with four of the five winning white ball numbers (1, 6, 8, 12, 35) and the Powerball number (3) from the April 3 drawing for $10,000.

A second play on the ticket contained two of the winning white ball numbers and the Powerball number for $7, making Hayes’ total prize $10,007.

Gary Rahn April 9, 2013 – Gary Rahn of Allen recently won $50,000 playing Nebraska Pick 5 from the Nebraska Lottery.

There were more than 11,500 Nebraska Lottery winners in the Friday, March 15 drawings. Among these winners was Rahn, who purchased his winning ticket at Countryside Gas-N-Grocery, 111 Highway 9 in Allen. The three-play ticket contained one play with the winning numbers (12, 22, 29, 33, 34) from the March 15 drawing for the $50,000 jackpot.

Two Toyota Tundras Claimed in Truck$ & Buck$ Scratch Game

March 21, 2013 – Two Omaha men recently won 2013 Toyota Tundra Rock Warrior CrewMax 4x4 Flex Fuel trucks in the 18th edition of the Nebraska Lottery’s $2 Truck$ & Buck$ Scratch game.

Andrew Pinneo of Omaha purchased the first truck-winning ticket at Casey’s General Store, 422 Nasby Street in Cambridge. Nebraska Lottery officials presented Pinneo with his prize at an event on March 15. “I was travelling to McCook and took a break at Cambridge, so I decided to buy some tickets,” said Pinneo. “When I scratched them off, I couldn’t believe that I had won the truck.”

A few days after Pinneo’s win, Andrew Stock of Omaha claimed the second Truck$ & Buck$ Tundra. Stock purchased his winning ticket at Kwik Shop, 9606 F Street in Omaha. He was presented with his truck prize at an event at Kwik Shop on March 20. During the event, Stock told Nebraska Lottery officials that he was “very excited” to win the Toyota Tundra prize.

The 18th edition of the Nebraska Lottery’s popular Truck$ & Buck$ Scratch game features the 2013 Toyota Tundra Rock Warrior CrewMax 4x4 Flex Fuel truck as its top prize. Players have the opportunity to win one of three Toyota Tundra trucks as well as 765,120 in cash and Ethanol-enriched fuel prizes. The truck prize is valued at $58,500, which includes $1,171 for costs associated with ownership and state and federal withholding paid by the Nebraska Lottery of $2,925 and $14,625, respectively. The odds of winning the top prize in Truck$ & Buck$ are 1 in 240,000, while the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.39.

Through May 28, players who send in $10 worth of non-winning $2 Scratch tickets will be entered for a chance to win a 2013 Toyota Tundra Rock Warrior CrewMax 4x4 Flex Fuel truck. Three preliminary drawings will be held to select a total of 15 semifinalists, who will compete for cash prizes and the Toyota Tundra truck at the Grand Prize drawing event on Saturday, June 8, during the Lincoln Saltdogs home baseball game.

While claiming her prize on January 2, Barber told Nebraska Lottery officials that she didn’t realize she had won the top prize at first. “I thought I’d won $300,” said Barber. “Then my husband said to make sure I had scratched it off completely.” She plans to pay bills using her winnings.

5X Lucky is a $5 Scratch game from the Nebraska Lottery that offers players the chance to win $1.2 million in cash prizes from $5 to $30,000. The odds of winning $30,000 playing 5X Lucky are 1 in 120,000, while the overall odds of winning any prize were 1 in 3.58.

Elwood Man Wins $138,000 Nebraska Pick 5 Jackpot

Nebraska Pick 5January 15, 2013 – Edward Sarr of Elwood recently won $138,000 playing Nebraska Pick 5 from the Nebraska Lottery.
