Nebraska Lottery March Update

MEGA MILLIONS® STARTS MARCH 20

Starting March 20, Nebraska Lottery players will be able to play Mega Millions, a multi-state jackpot game currently offered by 36 lotteries across the United States.

With the addition of Mega Millions, Nebraska Lottery players will have two more chances a week to win a jackpot prize by playing both Powerball® and Mega Millions. Mega Millions tickets are scheduled to go on sale at Nebraska Lottery retailers across the state on Saturday, March 20. The first Mega Millions drawing to include Nebraska tickets will be held on Tuesday, March 23.

Each Mega Millions play costs $1. Players select five white ball numbers from 1 to 56, and one Mega Ball® number from 1 to 46. To win the jackpot prize, which starts at $12 million and grows each time it is not won, players must match all six winning numbers. Other prizes in the game range from $2 to $250,000. Players who choose to add the $1 Megaplier® option have the chance to multiply their non-jackpot prizes as many as two, three, or four times. The odds of winning the jackpot prize are 1 in 175 million, while the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 40.

Mega Millions drawings are held every Tuesday and Friday at 10:00 p.m. (CT). Winning numbers will be available at the Nebraska Lottery web site, nelottery.com, and on the Nebraska Lottery Players Hotline at 1-800-224-LUCK (402-471-6139 in Lincoln).

MARCH SCRATCH GAME SURVEY CONTEST

The Nebraska Lottery truly appreciates the opinions of our players. That's why MVP Club members can win cold hard cash just for completing a short web survey.

Players participating in the survey will view new $1 and $2 Scratch game concepts and select their favorite designs. Top designs overall may be created as future Nebraska Lottery Scratch games!

Nebraska Lottery MVP Club members will receive one contest entry for completing a survey at www.nelottery.com between the dates of March 1 and March 31, 2010. A drawing will be held by the Nebraska Lottery on Friday, April 2, 2010, to select three winners. One first prize winner will receive $1,000 cash; one second prize winner will recieve $500; and one third prize winner will receive $250.

Every MVP Club member may enter the contest once.

NEBRASKA 101 SECOND CHANCE CONTEST

Take a tour though your own backyard and experience something new!

Between Monday, March 15 and Saturday, May 1, enter a single, non-winning Nebraska 101 Scratch ticket for a chance to win the Nebraska Trip of your choice, valued at $2,500.

MVP Club members will receive one entry for every single, non-winning $2 Nebraska 101 Scratch ticket submitted though www.nelottery.com. Entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. (CT) on May 1 for inclusion in this second-chance promotion.

A drawing will be held on Tuesday, May 4, 2010, to select the following prize winners:

• Top Prize: winner may select one of the featured Nebraska Trips available in the Scratch game;
• Second Prize: Nebraska Lottery Prize Pack.
