Nebraska Lottery November Update

BLACK FRIDAY SPECIAL NTH TICKET PROMOTION

When you’re out on Black Friday, don’t forget about shopping for your favorite lottery games! Buy a MyDaY ticket on November 26, and you could have the chance to win a free MyDaY ticket in the one-day Black Friday Special Nth Ticket promotion.

A trailer ticket will be produced on every 10th, 100th or 1,000th MyDaY purchase across the state on Friday, November 26. The lottery terminal will sound and a trailer ticket will print following the purchased ticket each time the Nth purchase is triggered.

• Every 10th ticket will create one free MyDaY play good for the November 26 draw;
• Every 100th ticket will create one free MyDaY play good for the November 26 through December 2 draws (6 total);
• Every 1,000th ticket will create one free MyDaY play good for the November 26 through December 25 draws (26 total).

The total cost, or amount of plays of the MyDaY purchase, does not determine the Nth ticket trigger – this is based solely on the number of MyDaY transactions across Nebraska. Every 100th ticket will only trigger the 100th ticket prize, but will not trigger the 10th or 1,000th ticket prizes. Additionally, every 1,000th ticket will only trigger the 1,000th ticket prize, but will not trigger the 10th or 100th ticket prizes. The promotion will begin at 5:00 a.m. (C.T.) and end at 8:30 p.m. (C.T.) on November 26.

LOTTERY TICKETS MAKE GREAT GIFTS, IF YOU'RE AT LEAST 19

During the holiday season, and throughout the year, the Nebraska Lottery suggests tickets as a gift option for those hard-to-buy-for individuals on your list.

Lottery Director Jim Haynes has something to add to that: “We always encourage players to play responsibly, and we ask them to give responsibly as well.  Nebraska Lottery tickets are a great gift idea, but they should only be given to recipients who are at least 19 years of age.”

By law, Nebraska Lottery tickets may only be purchased and redeemed by persons who are 19 years or older.

Four different Nebraska Lottery Scratch games feature a holiday theme: $1 Happy Holidays, which can be used as a gift tag; $2 Red & Green, featuring the Red & Green M&M’S® characters; $3 The Dog™, which features dogs with a holiday look; and $5 Holiday Cheers™ Bingo, a bingo game based on the highly rated “Cheers” television show.

Haynes noted that each ticket, whether Scratch or Lotto, carries the minimum age (19) reminder, and the same message appears on all in-store signage as well as in broadcast and print advertising.  “No matter how clever or attractive a game may be, it should only be given to individuals who are of legal age to play,” said Haynes.

MEGA MILLIONS® WITH MEGAPLIER® BONUS RAFFLE

The Mega Millions with Megaplier Bonus Raffle promotion continues through November 30. To date, three $500 Cabela’s merchandise gift cards have been claimed in the weekly drawings.

Bonus Raffle coupons will print for single ticket purchases of Mega Millions with Megaplier (a $2 purchase), as well as any multiple of $2 on a single ticket that includes Megaplier. A player's Bonus Raffle number must match the winning Bonus Raffle number exactly to win. Each Bonus Raffle coupon is good for one weekly drawing during the week in which the ticket was purchased, as well as for the Grand Prize drawing on Tuesday, November 30, 2010.

One Grand Prize drawing will be held on Tuesday, November 30, 2010, from all Bonus Raffle numbers generated throughout the promotion to award a $10,000 Cabela’s Travel Service gift card.

Winning Bonus Raffle coupons for all weekly drawings must be redeemed no later than 5:00 p.m. (C.T.) on December 30, 2010 (4:00 p.m. M.T. if claimed at the Scottsbluff office), in order to claim the prize.

COMING SOON: WINTER SCRATCH GAME SURVEY CONTEST

The Nebraska Lottery truly appreciates the opinions of our players. Starting on December 6, MVP Club members can win cold hard cash just for completing a short web survey.

Players participating in the survey will view $10 and $20 Scratch game attributes. They will be asked to provide their opinions on various attributes related to $10 and $20 Scratch products. Information and opinions offered will help create new Scratch games for our players.

Nebraska Lottery MVP Club members will receive one contest entry for completing a survey at www.nelottery.com between the dates of December 6, 2010, and January 4, 2011. A drawing will be held by the Nebraska Lottery on Wednesday, January 5, 2011, to select three winners. One first prize winner will receive $1,000 cash; one second prize winner will receive $500; and one third prize winner will receive $250.
