Bellevue Man Wins $200,000 Playing 20X Scratch Game

James Haase of Bellevue won $200,000 playing the Nebraska Lottery’s 20X Scratch game. It’s the first of three top prizes claimed from the game.

Haase purchased his winning ticket at Casey’s General Store, 2104 Pratt Avenue in Bellevue. Scratching the ticket, he revealed matching numbers for the top prize.

While claiming his prize on June 29, Haase told Nebraska Lottery officials that he often purchases his tickets at Casey’s. It’s across the street from where he works.  He says he didn’t even realize he’d won at first. Given the multi-game structure of 20X, he was paying attention to a different part of the ticket.

As far as plans for his winnings, “I’m going to pay off my Mom and Dad’s house,” Haase says.

20X is a $20 Scratch game from the Nebraska Lottery that offers players the chance to win over $10 million in cash prizes from $20 to $200,000. The odds of winning the top prize in 20X are 1 in 240,000, while the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 2.44.
