$15,000 Bunco Prize for Valley Man

John Lamprecht Jr. of Valley won $15,000 playing the $2 Scratch game Bunco from the Nebraska Lottery.

Lamprecht purchased his winning Bunco ticket at Casey’s General Store, 210 West Reichmuth Road in Valley. Scratching the ticket, he revealed three identical dice in each Roll for a total prize of $15,000.

There are three $15,000 top prizes available in Bunco. Lamprecht is the first person to claim a top prize to date.

While claiming his prize on April 23, Lamprecht told Nebraska Lottery officials that he didn’t realize he had won the $15,000 top prize at first after scratching off the ticket. “I thought it was only $1,500, but when the clerk checked it with the machine, there was an extra zero.” Lamprecht said he was “stunned” to win, and he plans to pay bills and purchase a new vehicle using his winnings.

Bunco is a $2 Scratch game from the Nebraska Lottery that offers players the chance to win $468,440 in cash prizes from $2 to $15,000. The odds of winning the top prize in Bunco are 1 in 120,000, while the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.79.
