Fremont Man Wins $22,000 Playing 2by2

2by2John Starlin of Fremont won $22,000 playing 2by2 from the Nebraska Lottery.

There were 14,000 Nebraska Lottery winners in the Wednesday, March 4 drawings. Among these winners was Starlin, who purchased his winning ticket at Pump & Pantry, 3441 East 24th St in Fremont. The ticket was good for seven drawings and contained one play with the winning red ball numbers (8, 22) and winning white ball numbers (9, 19) from the March 4 drawing for a corresponding prize of $22,000.

Three hundred and forty-three Nebraska Lottery players have won the 2by2 top prize to date.

While claiming his prize on March 6, Starlin told Nebraska Lottery officials that he just began playing 2by2. “I started playing 2by2 six weeks ago after a coworker told me to try it,” said Starlin. He learned he had won after calling the Nebraska Lottery Players Hotline (800-224-LUCK). Starlin plans to pay for some home improvements using his winnings.

2by2 is run by the Multi-State Lottery Association and was introduced in June 2002. Players in Kansas, Nebraska and North Dakota have the opportunity to win up to $22,000 Monday through Sunday by playing 2by2. The odds of winning the $22,000 2by2 top prize are 1 in 105,625, while the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.59.
