Cozad Woman Wins $15,000 Playing Scrabble®
Melissa Engleman of Cozad won $15,000 playing the $2 Scratch game Scrabble from the Nebraska Lottery.
Engleman purchased her winning Scrabble ticket at Sonny’s Super Foods, 321 East 8th Street in Cozad. Scratching the ticket, she revealed matching letters with a corresponding prize of $15,000.
There were three $15,000 top prizes available in Scrabble. Engleman was the third person to claim a top prize in the game.
Based on the popular word game of the same name, the $2 Scrabble Scratch game gave players the chance to win $547,200 in cash prizes from $2 to $15,000. The odds of winning the top prize were 1 in 140,000, while the overall odds of winning any prize were 1 in 3.67.
