$35,000 Bonus Crossword Prize for Grand Island Woman

Nancy FantaNancy Fanta of Grand Island won $35,000 playing the $3 Scratch game Bonus Crossword from the Nebraska Lottery.

Fanta purchased his winning Bonus Crossword ticket at Git ‘N Split, 3320 Langenheder Street in Grand Island. Scratching the ticket, she revealed 10 complete words for the $35,000 top prize.

There are nine $35,000 top prizes available in Anniversary Bonus Crossword. Fanta is the eighth person to claim a top prize in the game.

While claiming her prize on January 2, Fanta told Nebraska Lottery officials that she didn’t realize she had won the top prize after scratching off the ticket. “I figured I’d messed up, so I called my sister and sent her a photo to check it,” said Fanta. “She said it was correct – 10 words.” Fanta plans to save her winnings for the future.

Bonus Crossword is a $3 Scratch game that offers players the chance to win $8.4 million in cash prizes from $3 to $35,000. The odds of winning the $35,000 top prize in Bonus Crossword are 1 in 480,000, while the overall odds are 1 in 3.40.
