Lincoln Man Wins $22,000 Playing 2by2

Jeffrey HirtzelJeffrey Hirtzel of Lincoln won a total of $22,003 playing 2by2 from the Nebraska Lottery.

There were 2,365 Nebraska Lottery winners in the Sunday, December 7 2by2 drawing. Among these winners was Hirtzel, who purchased his winning 2by2 ticket at Super C, 501 West A Street in Lincoln. The ticket contained five plays and was good for seven drawings. One play on the ticket contained the winning red ball numbers (2, 9) and winning white ball numbers (8, 22) from the December 7 drawing for a corresponding prize of $22,000.

A second play on the ticket contained one winning red ball number and one winning white ball number from the December 3 drawing for $3, making Hirtzel’s total prize $22,003.

Three hundred and thirty-eight Nebraska Lottery players have won the 2by2 top prize to date.

While claiming his prize on December 9, Hirtzel told Nebraska Lottery officials that he learned he had won after checking the Nebraska Lottery website, nelottery.com. “It was the first day of my vacation, so that was a great way to start,” said Hirtzel. He plans to purchase a vehicle then save the rest of his winnings for the future.

2by2 is run by the Multi-State Lottery Association and was introduced in June 2002. Players in Kansas, Nebraska and North Dakota have the opportunity to win up to $22,000 Monday through Sunday by playing 2by2. The odds of winning the $22,000 2by2 top prize are 1 in 105,625. The odds of winning $3 are 1 in 383, and the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.59.
