Kearney Woman Wins $40,000 Playing Dashing Through the Dough

Linda BrownLinda Brown of Kearney won $40,000 playing the $5 Scratch game Dashing Through the Dough from the Nebraska Lottery.

Brown purchased her winning Dashing Through the Dough ticket at Casey’s General Store, 2605 Progressive Road in Seward. Scratching the ticket, she revealed a complete path with a corresponding prize of $40,000.

There are three $40,000 top prizes available in Dashing Through the Dough. Brown is the second person to claim a top prize to date.

While claiming her prize on November 21, Brown told Nebraska Lottery officials that she purchased her winning ticket while returning home from a trip to Lincoln. “We stopped for gas and I decided to buy a ticket,” said Brown. “Then we had to turn around and go right back to Lincoln to cash it in.” She plans to buy new furniture and Christmas presents using her winnings.

Dashing Through the Dough is a $5 holiday Scratch game from the Nebraska Lottery that offers player the chance to win $1.2 million in cash prizes from $5 to $40,000. The odds of winning the top prize in Dashing Through the Dough are 1 in 120,000, while the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.09.
