$110,000 Nebraska Pick 5 Jackpot for Fremont Woman

Tamara TannerTamara Tanner of Fremont recently won $110,000 playing Nebraska Pick 5 from the Nebraska Lottery.

There were more than 15,738 Nebraska Lottery winners in the Friday, October 3 drawings. Among these winners was Tanner, who purchased her winning ticket at Kwik Shop, 710 North Broad Street in Fremont. The five-play ticket contained one play with all five of the winning numbers (14, 20, 21, 30, 37) from the October 3 drawing for the $110,000 jackpot.

Three hundred and seventeen Nebraska Lottery players have won the Nebraska Pick 5 jackpot to date.

While claiming her prize on October 6, Tanner told Nebraska Lottery officials that she is not a regular lottery player. “I don’t buy lottery tickets that often, but I had a gift card and decided to play Pick 3,” said Tanner. “I ended up winning, so then I bought some Pick 3, 2by2, and Pick 5 tickets.” She learned she had won the $110,000 Nebraska Pick 5 jackpot after checking the Nebraska Lottery website, nelottery.com. “It was about 1:30 in the morning when I checked the site,” said Tanner. “I was excited to win, but it was so early I couldn’t call anyone to tell them.” She plans to buy a car using her winnings.

The odds of winning the Nebraska Pick 5 jackpot, which starts at $50,000 and grows by $4,000 each drawing that it is not won, are 1 in 501,942. The overall odds of winning a prize in the game, which has drawings six nights a week, are 1 in 8.
