$22,000 2by2 Prize for Beaver Crossing Man

Randal NichelsonRandal Nichelson of Beaver Crossing recently won $22,000 playing 2by2 from the Nebraska Lottery.

There were more than 11,000 Nebraska Lottery winners in the Wedneday, August 24 drawings. Nichelson purchased his winning 2by2 ticket at Casey’s General Store, 2605 Progressive Road in Seward. The quick pick ticket contained one play with the winning red ball numbers (18, 20) and winning white ball numbers (1, 23) from the August 24 drawing for a corresponding prize of $22,000.

Three hundred and twenty-seven Nebraska Lottery players have won the 2by2 top prize to date.

While claiming his prize on September 8, Nichelson told Nebraska Lottery officials that he learned he has won after returning to Casey’s to check his ticket. “I couldn’t believe it when they told me it was a winner,” said Nichelson. “Afterwards, I called my wife and told her the good news. She said, ‘No, you didn’t,’ and she wouldn’t believe me.” He plans to use his prize for rebuild structures damaged by the Mother’s Day tornado that hit Beaver Crossing earlier this year.

2by2 is run by the Multi-State Lottery Association and was introduced in June 2002. Players in Kansas, Nebraska and North Dakota have the opportunity to win up to $22,000 Monday through Sunday by playing 2by2. The odds of winning the $22,000 2by2 top prize are 1 in 105,625. The overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.59.
