Syracuse Woman Wins $10,000 Playing Lucky Chicks
Judy Moritz of Syracuse won $10,000 playing the $2 Scratch game Lucky Chicks from the Nebraska Lottery.
Morits purchased her winning ticket at Cubby’s, 110 North 30th Street in Syracuse. Scratching the ticket, she revealed ten “CHIRP” symbols for a corresponding prize of $10,000.
There are three $10,000 top prizes available in Lucky Chicks. Moritz is the second person to claim a top prize to date.
While claiming her prize on August 18, Moritz told Nebraska Lottery officials that she was “bewildered” after she scratched off the ticket. “I saw all those ‘chirps,’ and I couldn’t believe it,” said Moritz. “I had to take it back to the store to verify it.” She plans to buy a car using her winnings.
Lucky Chicks is a $2 Scratch game from the Nebraska Lottery that offers players the chance to win $470,560 in cash prizes from $2 to $10,000. The odds of winning the top prize in Lucky Chicks are 1 in 360,000, while the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.65.
