Steven Swanson June 16, 2014 – Steven Swanson of Las Vegas, Nevada claimed the first Harley-Davidson® Street Glide® motorcycle in the $5 Harley-Davidson Scratch game.

Swanson purchased his winning ticket at Casey’s General Store, 406 South Elm Avenue in Hastings. Scratching the ticket, he revealed matching numbers for the corresponding bike prize.

There are three Harley-Davidson Street Glide motorcycles in the Harley-Davidson Scratch game. Swanson is the first person to claim a motorcycle to date.

Swanson received his motorcycle during an event on June 13. He told Nebraska Lottery officials that he has been working in Hastings as a foreman with Nevada Railroad and stopped at Casey’s to purchase his ticket. It turned out to be a lucky decision, since he’d been looking to purchase a new motorcycle. “I gave up my bike after my daughter was born,” said Swanson. “She just turned 18 this year, so I’ve been looking for a new one. I was actually close to buying a Street Glide. Now I don’t have to.”

Based on one of the most recognized motorcycle brands in America, the $5 Harley-Davidson game features the 2014 Harley-Davidson Street Glide® motorcycle as its top prize. Players have the opportunity to win one of three Harley-Davidson motorcycles as well as $1.1 million in total cash prizes. The odds of winning the motorcycle prize are 1 in 120,000, while the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.56.
