Omaha Man Wins $44,018 Playing 2by2

Brad Goldenstein May 29, 2014 – Brad Goldenstein of Omaha recently won a total of $44,018 playing 2by2 from the Nebraska Lottery.

There were more than 8,000 Nebraska Lottery winners in the Monday, May 5 drawings. Goldenstein purchased two winning 2by2 tickets at Kum & Go, 10025 South 168th Avenue in Omaha. Each ticket was identical and contained five plays that were good for seven drawings. One play on each ticket contained the winning red ball numbers (12, 17) and winning white ball numbers (8, 12) from the May 5 drawing for $22,000.

The additional plays on the tickets matched some of the winning numbers from the May 5 and May 6 drawings for a total of $18. Goldenstein’s combined prize from both tickets was $44,018.

Three hundred and twenty Nebraska Lottery players have won the 2by2 top prize to date.

While claiming his prize on May 14, Goldenstein told Nebraska Lottery officials that he ended up purchasing two winning tickets due to a slight change in his schedule. “I’ve been playing the same numbers since the beginning of the year, and I buy a new ticket every Tuesday for the next seven draws,” he said. “But I had an appointment on Tuesday the 6th, so I bought my ticket a day earlier than I usually do.” Because of this change, he had two jackpot winning tickets for the May 5 drawing. He plans to pay bills using his winnings.

2by2 is run by the Multi-State Lottery Association and was introduced in June 2002. Players in Kansas, Nebraska and North Dakota have the opportunity to win up to $22,000 Monday through Sunday by playing 2by2. The odds of winning the $22,000 2by2 top prize are 1 in 105,625. The overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.59.
