$130,000 Nebraska Pick 5 Jackpot for Hastings Man

May 21, 2014 – Stanley Jackson of Hastings recently won $130,000 playing Nebraska Pick 5 from the Nebraska Lottery.

There were more than 17,500 Nebraska Lottery winners in the Friday, May 3, drawings. Among these winners was Jackson, who purchased his winning Nebraska Pick 5 ticket at Uncle Neal’s, 202 East Second Street in Hastings. The two-play quick pick ticket contained one play with all five of the winning numbers (3, 14, 23, 30, 35) from the May 3 drawing for the $130,000 jackpot.

Three hundred five Nebraska Lottery players have won the Nebraska Pick 5 jackpot to date.

While claiming his prize on May 5, Jackson told Nebraska Lottery officials that he learned he had won after checking the Nebraska Lottery website, nelottery.com. “When I saw those numbers, I was so happy I started running around the house,” said Jackson. He plans to buy a new home using his winnings.

The odds of winning the Nebraska Pick 5 jackpot, which starts at $50,000 and grows by $4,000 each drawing that it is not won, are 1 in 501,942. The overall odds of winning a prize in the game, which has drawings six nights a week, are 1 in 8.
