Powerball hearing planned

Pursuant to Neb. Rev. Stat. §§ 9-819 and 9-823, notice is hereby given of a public hearing before the Tax Commissioner on Tuesday, January 7, 2014, in Lower Level Conference Room A, Nebraska State Office Building, 301 Centennial Mall South, Lincoln, Nebraska, beginning at 10:00 a.m. The hearing will be to adopt and promulgate regulations pursuant to the State Lottery Act concerning the online lottery game Powerball and the Power Play multiplier.

The opportunity to be heard will be offered to interested persons upon written request to Kim Conroy, Tax Commissioner, Nebraska Department of Revenue, PO Box 98901, Lincoln, NE 68509.

Unscheduled testimony will be heard following the scheduled testimony at the hearing. Any interested person may also submit a written statement to the Tax Commissioner. Written statements must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on January 6, 2014.
