$10,007 Mega Millions® Prize for Lincoln Woman

September 27, 2013 – Melissa Smith of Lincoln recently won a total of $10,007 playing Mega Millions from the Nebraska Lottery.

There were more than 9,600 Nebraska Lottery winners in the Tuesday, August 20 drawings. Among these winners was Smith, who purchased her winning Mega Millions ticket at U-Stop, 3747 South 27^th Street in Lincoln. The ticket contained four of the five winning white ball numbers (13, 28, 35, 38, 41) and the Mega Ball® number (33) for a $10,000 prize.

A second play on the ticket matched three of the winning white ball numbers for $7, making Smith’s total prize $10,007.

Fifty-eight Nebraska Lottery players have won the $10,000 Mega Millions prize to date. Smith plans to pay bills using her winnings.

Mega Millions is a multi-state jackpot game currently offered by 44 lotteries across the United States. The odds of winning $10,000 playing Mega Millions are 1 in 689,065, and the odds of winning $7 are 1 in 306. the overall odds of winning any Mega Millions prize are 1 in 40.
