Omaha Man Wins $94,000 Playing Nebraska Pick 5

August 8, 2013 – Christopher Coniglio of Omaha recently won $94,000 playing Nebraska Pick 5 from the Nebraska Lottery.

There were more than 8,000 Nebraska Lottery winners in the Monday, July 1 drawings. Among these winners was Coniglio, who purchased his winning ticket at Taylor Quik-Pick, 211 North 14^th Street in Fort Calhoun. The two-play quick pick ticket contained one play with the winning numbers (4, 13, 18, 21, 29) from the July 1 drawing for the $94,000 jackpot.

Two hundred and seventy-eight Nebraska Lottery players have won the Nebraska Pick 5 jackpot to date.

While claiming his prize on July 15, Coniglio told Nebraska Lottery officials that he learned he had won after seeing the winning numbers on the KETV Channel 7 news the morning after the drawing. “I saw the numbers on TV, and I thought, ‘Those sound familiar,’” said Coniglio. He plans to pay bills using his winnings.

Nebraska Pick 5 is Nebraska's unique Lottery game: all the proceeds from Nebraska Pick 5 stay in Nebraska, and all the winning tickets are sold in Nebraska at Nebraska Lottery Lotto game retailers. The odds of winning the Nebraska Pick 5 jackpot, which starts at $50,000 and grows by $4,000 each drawing that it is not won, are 1 in 501,942. The overall odds of winning a prize in the game, which has drawings six nights a week, are 1 in 8.
