Lincoln Woman Wins $35,000 Playing Bonus Crossword

February 20, 2013 – Joan Millard of Lincoln won $35,000 playing the $3 Scratch game Bonus Crossword from the Nebraska Lottery.

Millard purchased her winning Bonus Crossword ticket at U-Stop, 240 North 17^th Street in Lincoln. Scratching the ticket, she revealed 10 complete words for the $35,000 top prize.

There were six $35,000 top prizes available in Bonus Crossword. Millard was the sixth person to claim a Bonus Crossword top prize in this edition of the game.

While claiming her prize on February 8, Millard told Nebraska Lottery officials that she didn’t realize he had won the top prize at first. “I kept looking at it to make sure I hadn’t made a mistake,” said Millard. She plans to save her winnings for the future.

Bonus Crossword is a $3 Scratch game that offers players the chance to win $5.6 million in cash prizes from $3 to $35,000. The odds of winning the $35,000 top prize in Bonus Crossword are 1 in 480,000, while the overall odds are 1 in 3.40.
