There were more than 8,500 Nebraska Lottery winners in the Monday, January 21st drawings. A second play on the ticket contained four of the five winning numbers from the January 21 drawing for $450. Another play matched three of the winning numbers from the January 22 drawing for $9, making Kalisek’s total prize $106,459.

Two hundred and sixty-seven Nebraska Lottery players have won the Nebraska Pick 5 jackpot to date.

While claiming his prize on January 24, Kalisek told Nebraska Lottery officials that he uses family birthdays to choose his Nebraska Pick 5 numbers. He learned he had won after checking the winning numbers in the Fremont Tribune. “I saw the numbers in the paper and thought, ‘Those are my numbers,’” said Kalisek. He plans to pay bills using his winnings.
