Omaha Woman Wins $30,000 Playing Bejeweled

October 18, 2012 – Lisa Hartline of Omaha won $30,000 playing the $3 Scratch game Bejeweled from the Nebraska Lottery.

Hartline purchased her winning Bejeweled ticket at Taylor Quik-Pik, 211 N 14^th Street in Fort Calhoun. Scratching the ticket, she revealed three consecutive symbols in one line for a corresponding prize of $30,000.

There are three $30,000 top prizes available in Bejeweled. Hartline is the first person to claim a top prize to date.

While claiming her prize on September 13, Hartline told Nebraska Lottery officials that she didn’t believe she had won the top prize at first. “I thought I was seeing things,” said Hartline. “I woke up my husband up and asked him, ‘Are you seeing this too?’ I couldn’t believe it.”

Bejeweled is a $3 Scratch game from the Nebraska Lottery that offers players the chance to win $941,100 in cash prizes from $3 to $30,000. The odds of winning the top prize in Bejeweled are 1 in 160,000, while the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.71.
