Egar Woman Wins $22,000 Playing 2by2
March 31, 2014 – Sharon Kenley of Edgar recently won $22,000 playing 2by2 from the Nebraska Lottery.
There were more than 1,500 2by2 winners in the Sunday, February 9 drawing. Kenley purchased her winning 2by2 ticket at Sorsen’s Corner Market, 323 North C Street in Edgar. The ticket was good for 21 drawings and contained one play with the winning red ball numbers (3, 8) and winning white ball numbers (8, 9) from the February 9 drawing for a corresponding prize of $22,000.
Three hundred and sixteen Nebraska Lottery players have won the 2by2 top prize to date.
While claiming her prize on March 25, Kenley told Nebraska Lottery officials that she uses family birthdays to select her winning 2by2 numbers. She learned she had won after checking the Nebraska Lottery website, nelottery.com. “I check the website every night, and when I saw those numbers I thought, ‘Those look like mine,’” said Kenley. She plans to purchase a new vehicle using her winnings.
2by2 is run by the Multi-State Lottery Association and was introduced in June 2002. Players in Kansas, Nebraska and North Dakota have the opportunity to win up to $22,000 Monday through Sunday by playing 2by2. The odds of winning the $22,000 2by2 top prize are 1 in 105,625. The overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.59.
