Two Powerball Winning Tickets Expire Soon

Two $10,000 Nebraska Powerball® tickets from October 2013 will expire at the beginning of April.

PowerballFor the Oct. 5, 2013, Powerball drawing, a winning ticket was sold at U-Stop #12, 6801 Wildcat Drive in Lincoln. The ticket matched four of the five winning white ball numbers (11, 12, 17, 39, 40) and the Powerball number (5) for $10,000.

Winning Nebraska Lottery Lotto tickets expire 180 days after the drawing. Players are encouraged to check their tickets and claim any prizes from the Oct. 5 drawing before the end of the business day on April 3.

A second winning Powerball ticket expires on April 10. For the Oct. 12, 2013, Powerball drawing, a winning ticket was sold at Hy-Vee Gas #9, 17901 Welch Plaza in Omaha. The ticket matched four of the five winning white ball numbers (8, 10, 26, 57, 58) and the Powerball number (4) for $10,000.

Prizes over $500 must be claimed by mail or at a Nebraska Lottery claim center. Claim centers are located in Grand Island, Lincoln, Norfolk, North Platte, Omaha, and Scottsbluff. Click here for claim center information and hours.

The odds of winning $10,000 playing Powerball are 1 in 648,976. The overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 31.8.
