Mega Millions Multi-Draw Reduction
July 22, 2013 – To prepare for the upcoming changes to the Mega Millions game in October, the Nebraska Lottery is temporarily reducing the amount of drawings that can be purchased on a ticket.
With the upcoming changes to the Mega Millions game, the maximum number of Mega Millions multi-draws that can be purchased on a ticket will be reduced with each successive drawing starting on July 30, 2013. Once the final drawing (October 18, 2013) under the game's current matrix has taken place, it will again be possible to purchase multi-draw tickets for up to 24 consecutive drawings.

The Mega Millions Consortium, a group comprised of the 12 original Mega Millions lotteries that sets the rules of the game, agreed to implement changes to Mega Millions starting in October 2013. These changes will result in larger starting and faster growing jackpots; better odds of winning any prize; and a new second-tier prize of $1 million. The ticket price will remain at $1 per play.
