Nebraska Pick 5February 4, 2013 – Duane Kalisek of Fremont recently won a total of $106,459 playing Nebraska Pick 5 from the Nebraska Lottery.

There were more than 8,500 Nebraska Lottery winners in the Monday, January 21st drawings. Among these winners was Kalisek, who purchased his winning ticket at Broad Street Amoco, 2246 North Broad Street in Fremont. The three-play quick pick ticket was good for three draws and contained one play with the winning numbers (7, 23, 24, 28, 31) from the January 21 drawing for the $106,000 jackpot.

A second play on the ticket contained four of the five winning numbers from the January 21 drawing for $450. Another play matched three of the winning numbers from the January 22 drawing for $9, making Kalisek’s total prize $106,459.

Two hundred and sixty-seven Nebraska Lottery players have won the Nebraska Pick 5 jackpot to date.

While claiming his prize on January 24, Kalisek told Nebraska Lottery officials that he uses family birthdays to choose his Nebraska Pick 5 numbers. He learned he had won after checking the winning numbers in the Fremont Tribune. “I saw the numbers in the paper and thought, ‘Those are my numbers,’” said Kalisek. He plans to pay bills using his winnings.
