$58,009 Nebraska Pick 5 Jackpot for Gretna Man
February 8, 2012– David Kamprath of Gretna recently won a total of $58,009 playing Nebraska Pick 5 from the Nebraska Lottery.
Kamprath purchased his winning Nebraska Pick 5 ticket at McKinney’s Food Center, 215 Enterprise Drive in Gretna. The two-play quick pick ticket contained one play with all five of the winning numbers (1, 24, 27, 33, 36) from the December 30 drawing for the $58,000 jackpot.
The second play on the ticket matched three of the winning numbers for $9, making Kamprath’s total prize $58,009.
Two hundred and forty Nebraska Lottery players have won the Nebraska Pick 5 jackpot to date.
While claiming his prize on January 11, Kamprath told Nebraska Lottery officials that he didn’t know he had won the jackpot prize at first. “I was at McKinney’s, and the clerk told me they’d sold a big winning ticket and I might have bought it,” said Kamprath. “So, I went home and brought my ticket back. It was unbelievable.” He plans to pay bills and donate to charity using his winnings.
