Lincoln Woman Wins $5,007 Playing MyDaY

March 9, 2010 – Kay Eggerss of Lincoln recently won a total of $5,007 playing MyDaY from the Nebraska Lottery.

There were more than 9,000 Nebraska Lottery winners in the Monday, March 1, drawings. Among these winners was Eggerss, who purchased her winning MyDaY ticket at Russ's Market, 6300 Havelock Avenue in Lincoln. The three-play ticket was good for multiple drawings. One play on the ticket contained the winning Month (8), winning Day (27) and winning Year (44) from the March 1 drawing for the $5,000 top prize.

A second play on the ticket matched the winning Year (7) from the February 26 drawing for $7, making Eggerss’ total win $5,007.

While claiming her prize on March 3, Eggerss told Nebraska Lottery officials that she learned she had won after checking the winning numbers on the Nebraska Lottery web site, nelottery.com. She plans to pay for some home repairs using her winnings.

One hundred and fourteen Nebraska Lottery players have won the MyDaY top prize since the game launched on October 1, 2008.

MyDaY is a new Nebraska Lottery Lotto game with a calendar theme. Players can win up to $5,000 by choosing a six-digit date for each $1 MyDaY play. The odds of winning the $5,000 top prize in MyDaY are 1 in 36,525, and the odds of winning $7 are 1 in 113. The overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 8.17.
