$1,000 Palms Prize for Beatrice Woman

December 22, 2009 – Betty Willey of Beatrice won $1,000 playing the $2 Scratch game Palms from the Nebraska Lottery.

Willey purchased her winning Palms ticket at Git 'N Split, 301 South 6th Street in Beatrice. Scratching the ticket, she revealed one winning “Palm Tree” symbol with a corresponding prize of $1,000.

There are three $1,000 prizes available in Palms. Willey is the third person to claim a $1,000 prize to date.

Palms is $2 Scratch game from the Nebraska Lottery that offers players the chance to win $276,620 in cash prizes from $2 to $10,000. The odds of winning $1,000 playing Palms are 1 in 80,000, while the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.75.
