Lincoln Woman Wins $100,000 Playing Platinum Payout October 22, 2009 – Mary Schulte of Lincoln won $100,000 playing the $10 Scratch game Platinum Payout from the Nebraska Lottery. Schulte purchased her winning Platinum Payout ticket at Russ's Market, 1709 Washington Street in Lincoln. Scratching the ticket, she revealed matching numbers with a corresponding prize of $100,000. There were two $100,000 top prizes available in Platinum Payout. Schulte was the first person to claim a top prize in the game. While claiming her prize on October 16, Schulte told Nebraska Lottery officials that it was “surreal” to realize she had won the $100,000 prize. She plans to save her winnings for the future. Platinum Payout was a $10 Scratch game from the Nebraska Lottery that offered players the chance to win $1,730,000 in cash prizes from $10 to $100,000. The odds of winning the $100,000 top prize in Platinum Payout were 1 in 120,000, while the overall odds of winning any prize were 1 in 2.83. |
