Omaha Man Wins $50,000 Playing $50,000 Diamonds and Gold

August 6, 2008 – Gregg Anderson of Omaha won $50,000 playing the $5 Scratch game $50,000 Diamonds and Gold from the Nebraska Lottery.

While on his way to work, Anderson stopped at Dickie Doodles, 2820 East 23rd Street in Columbus and purchased his winning $50,000 Diamonds and Gold ticket. Scratching the ticket, he revealed one “gold” symbol with a corresponding $50,000 prize.

There are two $50,000 top prizes available in $50,000 Diamonds and Gold. Anderson is the second person to claim a top prize in the game.

While claiming his prize on August 4, Anderson told Nebraska Lottery officials that he was “excited” to win $50,000. Although he had no definite plans for his winnings, he stated that they might include donating to charity.

$50,000 Diamonds and Gold is a $5 Scratch ticket from the Nebraska Lottery that offers players the chance to win $816,000 in cash prizes from $5 to $50,000. The odds of winning the $50,000 top prize in $50,000 Diamonds and Gold are 1 in 120,000, while the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.49.
