$10,000 Powerball Prize for Chapman Man

August 5, 2008 – Robert Husmann of Chapman won $10,000 playing Powerball from the Nebraska Lottery.

There were more than 15,000 Nebraska Lottery Lotto winners in the Wednesday, July 30, drawings. Among these winners was Husmann, who purchased a two-play ticket at Pump & Pantry, 116 Highway 30 in Chapman. One play on the ticket contained four of the five winning white ball numbers (03, 25, 45, 51, 55) and the Powerball number (13) from the July 30 drawing for a corresponding prize of $10,000.

While claiming his prize on August 1, Husmann told Nebraska Lottery officials that he felt “pretty lucky” to win the $10,000 Powerball Prize. Husmann learned of his win after returning to Pump & Pantry to check his ticket. He plans to pay bills using his winnings.

One hundred and ninety-eight Nebraska Lottery players have won the $10,000 prize in Powerball to date. The odds of winning $10,000 playing Powerball are 1 in 584,432, while the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 36.61.
